Special announcement!!!111!

Tuesday, November 6
Old Life presents Jon-Rae Fletcher¹, Balacade², and others
Logan's Pub
[this show transcends the concepts of time and monetary currency]

If I have to miss Jens in Seattle (god forbid), I will be comforted by being able to turn my tears into tears of joy by attending this event. Jon-Rae's voice will make you have a religious experience, and you'll fall in love with everyone in Balacade.

1. The River will not be present. Jon-Rae is not really on tour, just camping in "The Greatest Place on Earth" (those new license plates are so embarrassing).
2. With new players

Commuknits

There is this craft circle that happens Fridays 3:30-5pm, roughly, at the Camas Bookshop on the corner of Kings/ Quadra, between the Sparkle Bright on Quadra and Cafe Fantastico on Kings.

Don't be afraid to go if you don't know how to do yarn/ fabric arts, because they have some already-started-and-ready-to-be-continued or ready-to-be-started projects which you can use to practice and to learn.

Maybe you can custom-embroider some nice cloth napkins.

Just Friends @ Pop Explosion

I am reposting this news bulletin from the Just Friends website because I really like it, oK?
Just Friends is all over this years Pop Explosion like a hoser on plaid coats and maple syrup. Checkity Check out the second annual Just Friends Brunch this year at ye old Gus's Pub on Saturday October 20th. The festivities begin at the un-godly hour of 9:30am, come down for your choice of French Toast or Breakfast Bro-rittos. Eat that stuff while you watch The Just Barelys, Brent Randall and His Pinecones and Their Majesties. If you are too lazy to get out of bed on Saturday you can catch Just Friends acts at standard rock'n'roll hours. ...
But I want a Halifax Pop Explosion bro-ritto... :(
